For patients with difficult or very long procedures and patients with dental fears we offer a number of options for sedation. Oral sedation is in pill form taken 1-2 hour before your procedure, it is relaxing  and creates partial amnesia (decreased memory and time distortion). This works great for dental fears and single tooth extraction as well as uncomplicated implant surgery. I. V. sedation is done in conjunction with a certified anesthetist. At Crowns Now we recommend this for wisdom teeth extractions, complicated surgery and true dental phobic's. All of the methods is considered conscious sedation where the patient breaths on there own and can respond if needed. Sedation when performed with precise knowledge of any and all medical conditions is very safe and predictable.
